More than 25 species of fish, including catfish, bass, and carp, make the Medina their home. Many a real-life fish story has come true along our banks. We offer day passes for those coming to fish for just a day, as well as primitive tent and RV camping along the river.

Alamo River RV Ranch & Campground is a 95-acre recreational facility on the edge of south San Antonio. Located at 12430 Trawalter Lane, in Von Ormy, the working ranch and campground is home to nearly a mile of the Medina River. A favorite "secret spot" among local fishermen, guests have caught enormous catfish, bass, and other fish at Alamo River.
