Employee Contributions

Sempra Energy is proud of the commitment to the community our employees show every day on and off the job. We team with our employees to urge them to give back through three programs:

Sempra Employee Giving Network

Sempra Employee Giving Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by and for the employees of Sempra Energy. Through the Sempra Employee Giving Network, employees can make direct contributions to any nonprofit group through payroll withholdings.

Matching Gifts

To foster giving by employees of the Sempra companies, the Sempra Energy Foundation funds a Matching Gifts Program for gifts made to educational institutions, as well as to groups focused on arts and culture. The Foundation matches employees' gifts dollar for dollar pending verification of the gift. Requests for Matching Gift grants must begin with employees.

Volunteer Incentive Program

The Sempra Energy Foundation also supports employees' contribution of time and talent to nonprofit groups through the Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP). Employees of the Sempra companies who volunteer at least 10 hours for a public charity or a school may request a VIP grant from the Sempra Energy Foundation to that charity (or school). The Sempra Energy Foundation also makes available the Season of Giving Program for employees or groups of employees who volunteer during the Holiday season. Requests for VIP or Season of Giving grants must begin with employees.
