Summer programs at the Y are starting points for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and to develop healthy habits they will carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to swim or learning good sportsmanship and teamwork by participating in sports, at the Y it is about building the whole child, from the inside out.

Whether your youngster is looking for a summer-long program or week-to-week activities, Y camps provide an exciting, safe community for youth to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills and make lasting friendships. That’s why more than 150 kids in the Monroeville area attend the Y’s summer day camps to learn the values of respect, responsibility, honesty, caring and faith.
