A-G courses are a series of high school classes that students are required to successfully complete for eligible admission to the California State University and University of California systems. The goal of A-G curriculum is to ensure students have attained core subject knowledge that will fully and effectively prepare them for college. Opportunities For Learning is proud to offer A-G approved courses to all students, and requires a C or better from students on all class assignments.

Discerning eligibility requirements is essential to successful college planning. University of California (UC) and Cal State University (CSU) schools require high school students to complete the following set of high school courses with a C or better for admission*:

A: History/Social Science – 2 years

B: English – 4 years

C: Mathematics – 3 years (UC recommends 4 years)

D: Laboratory Science – 2 years (UC recommends 3 years)

E: Language Other than English – 2 years (UC recommends 3 years)

F: Visual/Performing Arts – 1 year

G: College Preparatory Elective – 1 year

*UC and CSU admission requirements are not limited to course completion and are subject to change without notice.
