YOUTH LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The Rancho Cordova Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is comprised of middle school and high school youth that work on “Making Rancho Cordova a better place!” YLC students attend bi-monthly meetings, volunteer at activities around Rancho Cordova and plan and coordinate their own youth events. YLC strives to build youth leaders within Rancho Cordova who are connected to their community. Youth participating are required to maintain a minimum grade point average and volunteer hours in the community. YLC is run in conjunction with the Rancho Cordova Police Activities League.

We bring together resources and programming in a Family Resource Center model to create a one-stop shop which encourages and empower families as they identify their own needs and reach their own goals to fight cycles of child abuse, incarceration, and poverty. We recognize that each family has strengths and encourage the family to build on these to solve their own challenges.
