The California Black Chamber Foundation and The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship have partnered to provide training materials to Local Chambers who want to set up an entrepreneur program in their chamber. Some elements of the program include but are not limited to the following:

  • Financial Literacy for the young adult - explores personal finance and Basic Banking Services, ABC’s of Checking/Saving/Investing/Credit; money management

  • Concepts to Learn:

  • Understanding credit

  • Needs & Wants

  • Debt, gross income

  • Banking

  • Budgets

  • Interests rates

  • Skills to develop: Decision making, following directions interpreting data, critical thinking, role-playing, working in groups.
