nstructions for bidding on martgage foreclosures

Report to room #113 on the day of sale and give the clerk the case number you plan to bid on, your name, address and telephone number.(***)

Per F.S. 28.24(13) all final bids are subjected to a registry of court fee. In addition to the final bid amount, the registry of court fee needs to be paid to the clerk of court. Registry fees are based on three percent (3%) of the first five hundred dollars ($500) and one and a half percent (1.5%) of every additional one hundred dollars ($100) of the bid.

When the representative for the plaintiff appears for the sale, the clerk will proceed with the sale at the front door of the courthouse. At the time of sale, if you are the successful bidder, you will need to pay at least 5% of your bid in cash or cashier check only (cashier checks must be made payable to Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Registry Fund). By 4:00 PM on the day of the sale, the remainder of the bid must be paid in cash or cashier check only. At this time you will be given a copy of the certificate of sale.

Any interested part has 10 days from the day of sale to object to the certificate of title. On the 11th day after the sale, if there is no objection filed, a certificate of title will be issued. If there is an objection filed, the case will be sent to the court to be set for a hearing.
