The Council plays a key role in the Region’s strategic, comprehensive and project planning for growth management, community development, and quality of life issues. The Council reviews all comprehensive plan amendments in the region, as well as all Evaluation and Appraisal Reports. The Council is the designated Federal Clearinghouse review agency in Northeast Florida; all grant applications for Federal funds are funneled through the Council for this Clearinghouse review.
