Our building opened in 1900 as a General Store, hosting the local Post Office and Gas Station. Today, The Blackbird Inn is owned by Scott and Cheryl Duniphin . Having grown up in the area, Cheryl brought her husband to Plumas County where he too fell in love with the area. Inspired by the rich local history, each room represents a piece of the past, having been named for the Sawmill and the Maidu Tribe, and other local haunts. The Blackbird Inn re-opens its doors October 13, 2017 with the all new Ricochet Cafe, a food truck that came with them from Kentucky.
