Mary Immaculate Church & School

Welcome to the Mary Immaculate Catholic School - the finest PK-8 Parochial School serving Northeast Missouri. Mary Immaculate Catholic School has been demonstrating faith in Kirksville since 1956. We hope that you will check here often and stay informed on how we live out our mission faith formation, excellence in academics and a service to our community as a way of life.

Both our parish and school have committed ourselves to the neighborhood and to our surrounding community. As a community diverse in culture, economics, and beliefs, we cherish our heritage and are committed to the success of our school. We at Mary Immaculate have developed a close-knit family feeling that you will notice immediately when you enter the school.

As you navigate our website, you'll learn more about exciting programs where the creativity, uniqueness, and self-esteem of each - child is fostered and nurtured.

Faith is important to all members of our school community. We begin each morning in our gym with morning pray and announcements. Each day the students receive instruction from the Finding God series. We celebrate Mass together each week on Thursdays. Throughout the day classrooms pray.

Our academic programs are top-notch. Students are given the tools necessary to excel not only in school but to be successful in high school, college and later careers. All grades score around the 80% in proficient and advanced. The curriculum we follow is given to us by the Diocese of Jefferson City. You can find it located on the website. I think if you have the time to review the pages, you will see that it is highly challenging but attainable. Students have many afterschool opportunities also. We have basketball for grades fifth through eighth. We also coop with Kirksville R-III for all their extra-curricular activities. At Mary Immaculate, we have a traveling choir, speech and Science Olympiad. We do offer extended care from 3:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m.
