About Castaway's Coon Creek
Robert and Lora Taira are the owners of Castaways at Coon Creek.
Thank you for another fun and enjoyable season! We are now closed for the winter but will reopen in the spring. Ice, water, and pop will continue to be available in the vending area until the first freeze.
Come to see us at 1643 County Hwy 42, Shelbyville, IL 62565. Located outside the entrance of Coon Creek Recreation Area just south of Findlay, IL.
Ice, water, and pop are available 24/7. You pay for 10lbs of ice but its set to vend more like 12lbs. It will overflow the 10lb bags we have so you may want to bring your cooler instead! Firewood is also available 24/7 the bundles are on the porch, just put your money in the drop box next to the front door.
Come to visit us for live bait, fishing and camping supplies, groceries, liquor, firewood, ice, and more!
