Welcome To

Foothill Unity Center

The Foothill Unity Center has been operating continuously in Monrovia for 28 years. In the years since it began in a small closet at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Monrovia, the need for providing help to low-income families and the homeless has grown. Food, shelter, clothing, needs assessment, and referrals are provided by Foothill Unity Center to individuals and families in crisis in the cities of Altadena, Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, Duarte, Irwindale, Monrovia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre and South Pasadena. Last year, over 2,200 families received over 2,000,000 pounds of groceries from our pantry and clothes from the Rainbow's End, our boutique/thrift store. We filled 8,545 food orders which provided over 27,000 people with more than 823,000 meals. Continuing to provide many programs and ways of helping people return to self-sufficiency, Foothill Unity Center is often called the "agency with a heart." * All have their basic needs met, including the need to give * All get the necessary support to become self-sufficient * All are treated with love and dignity all the time We provide critical support, in the form of food, clothing, motel vouchers, and referrals/advocacy to our neighbors in crisis. As the need for food brings people to us, we listen to their problems and help them find solutions. We work with other agencies to provide long-term shelter, counseling, medical, educational, employment and spiritual assistance depending on the person's needs. In this way, Foothill Unity Center helps people return self-sufficiency. All services are provided with love and dignity, regardless of race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, physical or emotional disabilities or veteran's status.
