Boulder City Hospital Auxiliary

The Boulder City Hospital Auxiliary has provided services for patients and the community since 1956. The Auxiliary is an important arm of the hospital, dedicated to supporting its missions and contributing funds to various projects. Men and women from all walks of life participate in activities, the gift shop or simply lend their support through annual membership dues.

Membership in the Auxiliary is open to anyone over 18 years of age who is interested in the welfare of Boulder City Hospital and is approved for membership. For more information about activities or membership, please ask at the Gift Shoppe or at the Reception Desk.

Purpose

The Boulder City Hospital Auxiliary was formed by local Boulder City women to provide volunteer assistance and to raise money in support of the Hospital. Major fundraising efforts began in 1963 with the founding of the Art in the Park Festival. The first Art in the Park brought in $3,000 and involved fifty artists. In 2000 the fundraiser became so large that the Auxiliary voted to turn this effort over to the Boulder City Hospital Foundation. The Auxiliary is still very active in the annual event.

Contributions

The idea of making contributions of time, ideas and effort has been the core of the Auxiliary since its inception. Some contributions have included state of the art hospital beds, medical supplies, and equipment, dietary equipment and scholarships.
