HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley’s Family Birth Place offers the highest level of care to women. Located at the hospital’s Broadway Campus, the Family Birthplace provides a range of choices for expectant women in a secure, yet family-friendly environment where the well-being of our mothers and babies is our highest priority.
We at the Family Birthplace believe that every childbearing experience is unique and that every woman is entitled to a joyful and healthy birth experience. Which is why our beautiful unit is designed to make your delivery a safe, natural and comfortable experience and why we work in partnership with you and your family to design a care plan tailored to your particular needs and preferences.
We offer many proven methods of low intervention labor management such as birthing balls, hydrotherapy tub or shower, nitrous oxide, as well as intrathecal pain management.
Our staff is committed to providing personalized care with attention to detail, all while listening to your needs. Many clinical staff members are Certified Lactation Counselors. Certification holders demonstrate competence in lactation knowledge, skills and attitudes, and agree to comply with the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice code of ethics.
