Herberger Construction is a 3rd generation heavy highway construction company with a bridge building focus. Our crews and construction process span safety with quality workmanship at each and every job project. While known throughout the Midwest for bridge construction and bridge work, Herberger also handles driving piling along with bridge removal, the construction of retaining walls, pump stations, and culverts. Herberger Constructions roots began in the 1940s, when Walter Herberger and his partners started the business in Humboldt, Iowa. Growing into a sole proprietorship in 1961, the Herberger family moved to Indianola, Iowa and has been performing bridge and heavy highway construction projects all across Iowa since. A third generation company with two sets of twin brothers across multiple generations, Herbergers family-owned quality workmanship and expertise have remained through the years.
