El Jardín Community Service Program

The El Jardín Garden & Greenhouse is more than just a beautiful space—it’s a hands-on learning hub where Lapan students grow as individuals while giving back to their community. Surrounded by tropical plants and fruit trees, students learn to care for gardens, manage aquaponic systems, compost with worm farms, and even capture rainwater—all while picking up valuable lessons in nutrition, cooking, and sustainability. It’s a fun, local way to complete community service hours while also tackling important issues like food insecurity and healthy living in the Wakefield neighborhood.
