The Master Gardener Program provides 40 hours of training in horticulture through a mix of online, in-person, and hands-on learning. Participants volunteer 40 hours on approved gardening education projects to become certified. To maintain active status, Master Gardeners must complete 10 hours of continuing education and 20 hours of volunteer service each year.
