Volunteer

Scouting is a youth-led program that thrives because of dedicated adult volunteers who serve as role models and leaders, guiding youth through hands-on learning experiences like teaching merit badges, leading hikes, and sharing practical skills such as fishing and cooking. While Scouts gain invaluable leadership skills, adults also grow through training and active involvement, developing qualities that make them better citizens, parents, managers, and employees, more patient, tolerant, and open-minded. Volunteers typically invest around 20 hours a month and overwhelmingly recommend Scouting as a rewarding way to contribute to their community by coaching and empowering youth with the skills they need to become tomorrow’s leaders.
