Pedestrian Resources

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is dedicated to planning, funding, and constructing infrastructure that ensures safe and accessible travel for pedestrians of all ages and abilities. This resource provides information on ongoing pedestrian initiatives, including the Safe Routes to School program, Safe Sidewalk Program, pedestrian facilities, and the Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI) initiative. ACHD also supports the Pedestrian Advisory Group, a diverse committee that advises the district on pedestrian needs and recommends improvements to enhance safety and accessibility across Ada County. The group meets monthly and welcomes public participation to foster community engagement in pedestrian planning.
