Installer Assistant

A locally owned expanding business is seeking individuals to help our business grow.  Successful applicants will be working with granite, quartz, and natural stone products in a hands-on, manual labor custom stone fabrication shop.  

SHOP ASSISTANT:  This self-motivated individual will be buffing, polishing, and using hand tools and must be a team player, reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking with a passion for learning new skills.  Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, such as heavy lifting, standing, repetitive motions, pushing, pulling, and using powered equipment.  Attention to detail is required.  This individual must also take instructions well and be a willing and quick learner.  The ability to read a tape measure, understand units of measurement, and transfer measurements is mandatory.

Shop employees will be hand polishing custom edges, moving material, reading and following cut sheets, and will be required to work both alone and as a team player.  The ability and willingness to clean up and return all equipment/tooling to the appropriate place is a shop requirement.  The employee must have a valid driver’s license, and experience driving a forklift is a plus.  This employee will also be required to perform general shop tasks as assigned, such as cleaning, organizing, stocking, and performing some minor repairs.

INSTALLER ASSISTANT:  This team player will be responsible for aiding in the installation of natural stone countertops.  This includes providing excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and efficient installation that is of first-time quality, while maintaining a professional appearance. Other duties and tasks include loading and unloading countertops; upkeep of vehicles and tools, complying with client guidelines, inspecting completed jobs for overall quality, and cleaning up the jobsite.

An ideal candidate will possess previous related industry experience in remodeling, tiling, carpentry, and/or construction.  Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.  This individual needs to be able to work in a team effort environment and display professionalism at all times. The company provides equipment to make it easier to move and carry stone pieces on the jobsite, but heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of 100+ lbs is required where equipment is not manageable. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may occasionally include working outside the typical schedule of Mon.-Fri.  Must be able to read and understand units of measurement.  Attention to detail is required.  This individual must also take instructions well and be a willing and quick learner.
