Franchises

When EPCOR provides service in a community, we utilize public rights of way such as roads and sidewalks to build, operate, and maintain the infrastructure needed to serve our customers. In some municipalities, these arrangements are formalized through franchise agreements, which may include a franchise fee paid to the city or town. Where such agreements exist, EPCOR periodically renews or extends them to ensure the continued delivery of reliable, high-quality water and wastewater services.
