Physical Education at West Hollywood Elementary is supported by Friends of West Hollywood Elementary through the funding of a full-time, certified physical education teacher. This program promotes students’ physical health, motor skill development, teamwork, and overall well-being while helping students manage stress and stay focused in the classroom. By providing structured instruction two to three times per week, the program ensures students meet LAUSD physical education requirements and are well prepared for the state-mandated FITNESSGRAM assessment, while receiving high-quality, developmentally appropriate physical education instruction.
