Pension only covers 3.36% of the family food basket calculated at $446
The economist and university professor, Luis Crespo, stated that the country's pensioners and retirees "are subjected to conditions of extreme poverty."
During an interview granted to the Onda La Superestación circuit, he specified that the monthly pension covers only 3.36% of the price of the Family Food Basket, recently published by the Center for Documentation and Social Analysis of the Venezuelan Federation of Teachers (Cendas-FVM).
