Diabetic Retinopathy


Diabetic retinopathy is a significant and potentially sight-threatening complication of diabetes.

Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal that approximately one-third of adults aged 40 and above with diabetes experience diabetic retinopathy. Moreover, the rates of diabetic retinopathy are even higher among African-Americans and Mexican-Americans.
