At CANTER, our students with special needs find solace and strength through our extraordinary therapy horses. Each of our horses is a cherished gem, embodying the gentleness and calm required to create a safe and nurturing environment.

These remarkable animals hold a unique place in our student's hearts. Our horses are meticulously selected, undergoing rigorous screening to ensure they are well-suited for the important task at hand. Those who meet the criteria undergo specialized training tailored to therapeutic riding activities. This includes unique skills like assisting riders from wheelchairs or accommodating prone positions.

Many of our horses are generously loaned from community members, reflecting the shared commitment to our mission.
