Each July, the Applied Career Exploration in STEM (ACES) Camp for Girls creates an inspiring week-long experience for middle school girls from the Sunnyside Unified School District. This initiative is crafted to ignite a passion for exploring a diverse range of STEM careers, setting the stage for potential success, and establishing a solid foundation for a future in STEM education and beyond. ACES Camp fosters the development of crucial skills such as teamwork, technology utilization, and hands-on learning, all while offering a glimpse into the college experience during this pivotal phase in the students' lives. With over a decade of history, the program has enriched the lives of more than 500 participants who have gone on to become engineers, scientists, and accomplished young professionals. ACES emphasizes the significance of math, science, and technical science careers and underscores the essential role of women in every professional field. Occasionally, we expand our reach to include other school districts, including the Tucson Unified School District, so be sure to stay tuned for updates on the upcoming Summer 2024 ACES Camp!
