Dementia Care

Neighbor Network Of Northern Nevada (N4) in Reno, NV, offers comprehensive Dementia Care as part of its free respite care program in 12 Northern Nevada counties. The program caters to individuals with dementia or potential dementia, including those living alone or with intellectual disabilities, and their primary care partners, who can be family, friends, or neighbors. N4 provides a minimum of 5 hours per week of respite care, dementia-specific case management support, and offers flexibility in choosing a Community Care Partner (CCP). The program includes telephone and email-based care coaching and is offered at no cost to participants. N4 has partnered with the Alzheimer's Association of Northern Nevada to provide free Savvy Caregiver training in English or Spanish, proven to reduce caregiver distress and boost confidence. Additionally, they collaborate with Living Alone & Connected, a Facebook Community for individuals living alone with Alzheimer's or other dementias.
