S.H.I.N.E Mawusi Women's African Drum Circle

S.H.I.N.E. Mawusi Women's African Drum Circle, hosted by The World Stage Performance Gallery in Los Angeles, is a Saturday gathering dedicated to women exploring West African drumming. Founded by Rene Fisher-Mims, S.H.I.N.E. stands for Sisters Healing, Inspiring, Nurturing, and Empowering in the Hands of God. Running from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a suggested donation of $5, the drum circle aims to empower women through music, teaching the rhythms and traditions of African drum culture. The group performs at various events, including concerts, Black History programs, churches, and private parties, spreading joy and cultural connection.
