Dekker Photography

I am a photographer from Northwest Iowa. I have lived in the area my entire life and currently live just outside of Estherville (about 20 miles from the Iowa Great Lakes). I also have a studio in Spencer, Iowa! I have been a photographer for 5 years, but have only been full time for the past 3 years.

I have a passion for freezing sentimental moments in time. I love birth and fresh 48 photography because of the emotions you feel when you look back on those moments that you may not remember. This year I lost one of my favorite people, my grandma. She passed away at the age of 90. I am so thankful I spent a lot of time photographing my grandparents with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I see the importance of saving those family memories in photos. Any chance you have to capture the love between family members is so special!

I have won awards such as the SRG People's Choice Best Photographer for 2019, Two finalist photos in the 2019 Shoot and Share contest as well as other photos that finished in the top 10% and 20%. I have been published in the Okoboji Magazine and local newspapers.
