Hi! Im Bailey and I live in Boise, Idaho with my best friends Drew, Moose, and Bear. We are two mechanical engineers that work a typical 8-5 job, but on the weekends we come out to play. Whether it be hiking, camping, brewery hopping, fishing, kayaking, skiing, runningyou get the idea. We are not Instagrammed influencers or sponsored athletes who travel and play for a living. We are average people who live for the weekends. On a Friday night, youll find us flinging gear into our unfinished church van in a rush to get out of town; its usually chaos HOWEVER, Its 100% worth it. We always say its better than not going at all!. This wild pace of life gave way to the inspiration behind the brand Wild Pace.
I moved out west 4 years ago from Iowa and was intimidated by the outdoors. I knew I had a lot to learn, but I noticed a trend of exclusivity and elitism surrounding the outdoors. I saw the glaring lack of diversity among avid adventurers. Its cringy. Theres a lot to be said about this subject, but Ill spare you.The point is that the outdoors is for ANYONE who wants to dabble.
Part of making the outdoors more inclusive is making it more affordable. Dont get me wrong, I love gear. However, large brands frame the idea that you need to spend a ridiculous amount of money on products theyve marked up 3 times in order to experience the outdoors. It is our hope that as people gain access to the outdoors, they realize the state our planet is in and start taking responsibility. We aim to promote responsible outdoor practices while improving our own. This earth will not be the same for the next generation if we continue on our current path. To combat this, we are partnering with the Idaho Wildlife Federation and 10% of proceeds will be donated to support their efforts. The IWF is a great organization that advocates for wildlife and protects public land that allows these adventures to happen.
