Housekeeper

As a housekeeper with us, you are a key member of the Canyon Rim team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the residents’ rooms, the common areas, the office, indoor meeting spaces, and company vehicles. You play an important role in infection control in community-based care and contribute to the sense of tidiness and well-being. To succeed in this role, you must have an eye for detail, be dedicated to the highest standards of cleanliness, and tackle daily tasks with a pleasant and positive attitude. Compensation Range: $16.00 to $17.00 (based on experience level) Shift: Flexible, a total of 32 hours a week. Job Responsibilities (not limited to): Mopping Cleaning restrooms thoroughly Emptying trash bins Clean windowsills and windows. Disinfecting high-touch areas, such as light switches Dusting all surfaces as needed, including shelving, furniture, etc. Check all levels and all surfaces for cobwebs and remove them. Vacuuming, including in corners and under furniture (excepting heavy pieces). Job Requirements: Love, respect, and value elders. Strong desire to work around seniors. Positive attitude. Must work well as part of a team. Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, residents, and residents’ families. Ability to communicate with elders and others in a positive way. Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to read work orders, log progress, and converse with the residents. Knowledge of house cleaning practices. A love of making things clean. Able to stay on feet and remain active throughout an 8-hour shift. Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and vacuums and cleaning supplies routinely. Ability to push the cleaning cart. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, and reach to clean every area of each room. Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders as needed for reaching dust and dirt on ceilings and fans.
